Good to know:
- Total revamp of the original Model No. 5
- Made in Japan watch movement components with parts from MinebeaMitsumi Inc. for the satellite hours display
- “Like-new”, unworn condition with full set of accessories
- Jiro Katayama released the Model No. 5 Kai at the beginning of 2025, merging industrial instruments into Japanese watchmaking. The model is a total revamp of the original Model No. 5, replacing the regulator-style mechanism with a satellite hour module with three rotating discs, being a new addition to Otsuka Lotec’s line up featuring exotic displays.
- With most components of the watches crafted in Katayama’s atelier, Otsuka Lotec is the true embodiment of ‘Made in Japan’ craftsmanship. For this watch, the movement is sourced from the Japanese manufacturer Miyota, renowned for outstanding reliability. For this particular model, ball bearings of MinebeaMitsumi Inc., a well-known Japanese manufacturer in mechanical parts, are used in the satellite hour module.
- Unworn and kept in “like-new” condition freshly acquired in 2026, this watch is surely a desirable piece for collectors that appreciates Japanese mechanics and craftsmanship.
