While the Opus and Histoire de Tourbillon collections showcase Harry Winston’s relentless pursuit of innovation in watchmaking, the Ocean line serves as the brand's sporty collection.
This ethos is exemplified in the present timepiece, created for the Only Watch 2015 charity event. While the collection typically features monochromatic designs, this watch stands out with the brand's signature bright and vivid blue, prominently displayed on both the strap and the dial.
The sophisticated display includes a partially skeletonized hour and minute dial crafted from sapphire crystal, offering a glimpse into the intricate movement within. A striking blue sharp and pointed aluminum frame encircles a sub-dial echoes the rotating shuriken right below, which provides a quick visual indicator of the watch's operation. The local time is shown via a large retrograde hour hand on the left side, complemented by a date indication at the 5 o'clock position, all contributing to a futuristic aesthetic.
Driven by a beautifully finished movement featuring an 18K white gold skeletonized rotor and a 45-hour power reserve, the watch’s caseback is engraved with “Only Watch 2015 Unique Piece”. Preserved in like-new condition, the watch has never been worn since its auction nearly a decade ago, and we are thrilled to present it once again in the auction room.
