- Revolutionary Swiss designer Gérald Genta was undoubtably ahead of its time. Single handedly spearheading the coveted luxury sports watch genre, he also understood the importance of popular taste and pop culture. Releasing his inner playful side under his eponymous brand Gérald Genta produced a series of mechanical watches inspired by Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse.
- Following the release of the Gérald Genta Arena Bi-Retrograde Smiling Mickey and its subsequent, almost imminent sold-out status, Bulgari in 2022 decided to release yet another Retrograde wristwatch however this time with Mickey kicking a football.
- The present Gérald Genta Arena Bi-Retrograde with Mickey playing football features a quite interesting triple complication model with retrograde minutes, retrograde date and jumping hours. Limited edition to only 200 pieces, the present timepiece features a 41mm stainless steel Arena case with rounded bezel, straight lugs, and a fluted caseband. The crown jewels however has to be the natural mother of pearl dial featuring Mickey Mouse raising his left leg seemingly trying to perform an athletically impressive bicycle kick.
- Playfully impressive and in excellent overall condition, the present limited edition Gerald Genta Arena Bi-Retrograde with Mickey playing football comes with its original and full set of accessories and is in excellent overall condition.
