Reine de Naples

寶璣,精細及罕有,18K黃金鑲鑽石自動上弦女裝腕錶,配貝母錶盤、動力儲存及月相顯示,“Reine de Naples”,型號8908,約2015年製

The Reine de Naples wristwatch is based on a bracelet watch created by Abraham Louis Breguet for the younger sister of Napoleon Bonaparte, Caroline. Born in 1782, she married Joachim, King of Naples, and was Queen Consort of Naples from 1808 until 1815. Today, the watch has a timeless elegance, and is sold in both white and yellow gold, with or without metal bracelets. The bezel and dial flange are set with 128 diamonds with an approximate total weight of 0.83 cts.

The present watch is in exceptional condition, and has a classic appeal with the gold and diamond case, enhanced by the mother-of-pearl dial. The watch is made more intriguing by the 40 hour power reserve and phases of the moon featured at the 12 position. The Reine de Naples is a perfect watch for women due to its simple elegance and understated design aesthetic.

Breguet

Swiss | 1775

Established in 1775 by Abraham Louis Breguet, widely considered the greatest watchmaker of all time, the storied brand continues to thrive in the modern era, creating exceptional high-end watches as the Swatch Group's premier prestige brand. Some of the most important and lasting inventions in watchmaking are attributed to Abraham Louis Breguet, including the tourbillon, shock resistance and the use of hammers and gongs employed in nearly all minute repeating watches made since.

Eighteenth and nineteenth century Breguet pocketwatches are especially sought-after by collectors, and many of them were made for the elite of European society, including Napoléon and Marie Antoinette. Key wristwatches from the twentieth century include oversized dress watches, two-register chronographs, triple calendars and Type XX aviator's chronographs made for the French military and civilians.
