Teiji Hayama - INTERSECT: Online Auction Hong Kong Wednesday, September 21, 2022 | Phillips
  • Teiji Hayama is a Japanese artist who studied at Saint Martin’s College in London, and currently lives and works in Switzerland. A fashion industry professional turned artist, Hayama is known for reimagining imagery of the world’s most iconic stars, such as Marilyn Monroe, Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, and Albert Einstein, imbuing his work with unsettling and thought-provoking qualities.

Through his artistic interventions of icon’s imagery, Hayama expresses his satirical remark of a society that suffers from pretence and social media fatigue.

Hayama’s recent solo exhibition I Link, Therefore I Am took place at Unit London from 7 December 2021 to 8 January 2022. His latest group show Decoding is held at VINS Gallery, Taipei (30 July - 28 August 2022).
