    Introduced in 2007, the RM015 comes as a form of homage and admiration that its founder had for the famous Italian innovator and yacht builder Fabio Perini. Of equivalent beauty as the 56m Melek, or the 88m Maltese Falcon, Richard Mille attempted with the RM015 to create a timepiece that evoked the feelings of smooth seas, salted decks and light breezes. Looking closely, its design focuses its attention to the key elements of a ship, the crown was shaped to reminisce that of a ship’s winch and its striped tonneau case that of a ship’s deck. Through the sapphire-crystal case back one can clearly notice the artistry and craftsmanship Richard Mille’s and Renaud & Papi’s team have applied in creating the movement for this timepiece. Being a skeletonised carbon fiber base plate, the watch remains light but equally robust on the wrist.

    The watch features a dual time indication his dual time-zone indicator via a transparent sapphire crystal disc inscribed with hours and that permanently rotates through the movement. The digits on the disc are visible only when transposed on the white background, situated at 10 o’clock. The habitual Richard Mille signature elements also grace the movement such as the power reserve and torque displays as well as the function selector enabling the wearer, with a push on the crown to select winding, setting and neutral

    In appealing condition, the cutting edge movement and yacht-like design make it a reliable and great companion to have for your next regatta. Overall, this watch is a must have for any seasoned sailor and watch collector of special edition Richard Mille.

    Please note that at the time of the auction the present watch will be at Richard Mille for a complete service and is estimated to be available to the buyer by end of year 2020.
