While working as a truck driver in the English city of Leeds in the 1970s, Peter Mitchell photographed the many factories and small shops he encountered during his rounds. These photographs were later included in the seminal 2007 exhibition How We Are: Photographing Britain at Tate Britain and were exhibited this summer at the prestigious photography festival Rencontres d’Arles.
