This is one of the most era-defining images from the Lebanon war. From Paolo Pellegrin’s series Double Blind, the image is a testimony to the destruction and its ramifications, between Hezbollah and the Israeli Army, in Lebanon. Double Blind was published as a book in 2007. Pellegrin’s work focuses on the impact, consequences and legacy of suffering.
Paolo Pellegrin was born in Rome in 1964. After studying architecture at L’Università la Sapienza, he earned a degree in photography at the Instituto Italiano di Fotografia in Rome.
