Good to know:
- Limited edition of 25 pieces
- Grand feu enamel dial with blue Roman numerals at 12, matched with lancet hands
- In-house cal. 100.1 with hacking function, motion is resumed by the Grossmann pusher
- Moritz Grossmann has emerged as one of the most renowned German watchmaking companies. Inspired by the 19th-century watchmaker Moritz Grossmann, the brand launched its first timepiece “BENU” named after the phoenix from Egyptian mythology, and subsequent collections, like the present ATUM, were named after various gods from mythology.
- The ATUM Enamel was released in 2017 as a limited edition of 25 pieces each for 18K pink gold and white gold. The exceptional craftsmanship in watchmaking of the ATUM resulted in the pink gold one receiving the Reddot Award 2018.
- Encased in 18K white gold, the present example features a grand feu enamel dial with Roman numeral indexes. Grand feu enamel dial is extremely challenging to produce as it requires firing the piece in high temperatures repeatedly, and the slightest mistake in the process would make the dial unusable. The Roman numeral “XII” is in Moritz Grossmann’s signature royal blue, paired with lancet hands, this watch speaks the iconic elements of a Moritz Grossman watch.
- Paying homage to 19th-century pocket watches, the movement of the ATUM Enamel is meticulously finished, featuring blued screws that harmonize with the overall aesthetic. Additionally, the hand-engraved balance cock adds a touch of artistry and can be admired through the sapphire caseback.
- Notably, in true German fashion, the cal. 100.1 is equipped with a hack seconds function, and the pusher positioned at 4 o'clock allows the seconds hand to resume motion after the crown is pulled, ensuring precise timekeeping.
- Produced in a limited edition of just 25 pieces and in pristine condition, this watch merges classic German watchmaking with a touch of modern innovation, featuring a finely made grand feu enamel dial. It is the perfect watch for watch enthusiasts that appreciates a vintage style wristwatch.
