Catalogue Essay
Louis Cottier, a much celebrated Geneva watch maker was commissioned by several well known watch manufacturers to produce his patented world time movements for them. This included greats such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, Vacheron & Constantin, and the less well known Agassiz. Cottier's output was limited to only around 455 movements in total for pocket watches, wristwatches, and clocks, so consequently this is a particularly rare example. His use of the lollipop hour hand became something of a signature for him, as can be seen on this and other brands.
