The present reference 1140 from Urban Jürgensen is a modern 21st century offering of the brand but with all the signature elements collectors have come to love: teardrop lugs and the typical signature hands.
Traditionally fitted with guilloché dials, the present example does without and instead offers a superb deep salmon grainé dial with engraved and manually inlaid hour and seconds tracks and elegant Breguet numerals, thus maintaining the soul of the original while offering something distinctly new.
However, whereas white gold examples were known, the present example is a unique piece in platinum bearing serial number 00/20. Whereas 20 pieces were to be made, the present example was the only one ever produced in platinum, as confirmed by the Extract from the Archives.
