Good To Know:
- Numbered 7 out of 28 pieces
- With 3 original certificates including Geneva seal and Chronometry
- Rare time‑only 34mm Sympathie
The Sympathie case is a bold departure from conventional forms: neither purely round nor square, it occupies a compelling middle ground. Characterised by stepped bezels and elegantly elongated, curved lugs, the Sympathie introduced a genuinely new silhouette to an industry where case‑shape innovation is rare. The design reads as architectural and sculptural while remaining wearable and balanced on the wrist.
Powering this piece is calibre 57, a Lemania‑based ébauche, which in this example bears the prestigious Geneva Seal and was personally regulated by Roger Dubuis. At the time, the Geneva Seal was most commonly associated with Patek Philippe, so Dubuis’s decision to secure the same certification emphasised his commitment to the highest standards of finishing and chronometry.
Accompanied by its original certificate, an Observatoire de Besançon chronometer certificate and the Geneva Seal certificate, this watch—numbered 7 of 28—is an exceptionally rare early Roger Dubuis.
