- Harkening back to the primordial days of sun dials, visionary young brand Ressence is reinventing our notion of timekeeping. Debuting at Baselworld 2010 with three radical prototypes, Ressence made waves by eschewing hands altogether. A year later, their limited Series Zero was met with fanfare from independent watch aficionados. With its futuristic design and ingenious mechanics, the Ressence Type 1.3 represents a revolutionary new direction in watchmaking.
- At first glimpse, the dial appears devoid of moving hands (just a small printed hand indicating 12 o’clock as a cheeky nod to the “beyond hands policy”). This ingenious horological wonder upends conventions through design innovation. The dial rotates via Ressence's patented Orbital Convex System, with four subdials displaying hours, minutes, seconds and day. The day indicator also denotes AM/PM.
- Crowning the titanium case is equally ingenious - by rotating the caseback, one can set the time and wind this mechanical marvel. The present Type 1 Slim in off-white dial is presented in pristine condition and further accompanied by all its accessories.
