Patek Philippe

Ref. 5013

百達翡麗,精細及極罕有,18K紅金酒桶形自動上弦腕錶,配三問、萬年曆、逆返日曆、閏年顯示、棕色錶盤及寶璣數字,附證書、底蓋及盒子,型號5013,2008年製

Reference 5013 tonneau form minute repeating automatic perpetual calendar was first introduced in 1992 and was in production for a total of 18 years, being discontinued in 2010. The majority were cased in either platinum or yellow gold, and examples in pink gold are seldom seen at auction. The style and design still holds the essence of the traditional Patek Philippe grand complications and will remain in history as one of their most important contemporary watches of the late 20th century.

This 5013 was manufactured towards the end of the reference's cycle, being delivered to the original owner in 2008. Mr. Stern, then President of the firm, personally approved an upgrade to the current chocolate brown dial, to one of his esteemed and important clients. Since then, the watch has remained in a safety deposit box, not being used. The watch is still retaining the letter confirming the upgrade to the dial, and also all original accessories.

This 5013 is very rare and important, however coupled with the potentially unique and very striking chocolate dial, the watch is catapulted to the very top of reference 5013 having ever appeared at auction.

Well-known for the Graves Supercomplication — a highly complicated pocket watch that was the world’s most complicated watch for 50 years — this family-owned brand has earned a reputation of excellence around the world. Patek's complicated vintage watches hold the highest number of world records for results achieved at auction compared with any other brand. For collectors, key models include the reference 1518, the world's first serially produced perpetual calendar chronograph, and its successor, the reference 2499. Other famous models include perpetual calendars such as the ref. 1526, ref. 3448 and 3450, chronographs such as the reference 130, 530 and 1463, as well as reference 1436 and 1563 split seconds chronographs. Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
