- Modern automatic Calatrava with date
- With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives
-Patek Philippe’s Calatrava model is the cornerstone of the brand’s time only wristwatch collection. Launched in 1932, it was one of the first Patek Philippe timepieces to feature a reference number (96). In keeping with its Bauhaus design origins, it had no additional or unnecessary decorations; rather, the case and dial design had clean elegant lines and served as the benchmark for all future dress watches. Over the decades the model has evolved with the addition of a calendar function and the use of an automatic movement, like the present reference 3998.
-Released in 1989, the reference 3998 remained in production until 2005 and was offered in yellow, rose, and white gold, like the present watch, as well as in platinum. Originally housing the caliber 310 SC, the model was updated in 1996 with the caliber 315 SC. The watch was a commercial success and often found offered in limited editions for various partnered retailers.
-The present watch is offered in very good condition and comes with a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives and presentation box.

Other famous models include perpetual calendars such as the ref. 1526, ref. 3448 and 3450, chronographs such as the reference 130, 530 and 1463, as well as reference 1436 and 1563 split seconds chronographs. Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
