• The present 5270P-014 features a vibrant, lacquered green degradé dial. First introduced at Watches & Wonders in 2022, the vignette-effect of the emerald green fading to black struck collectors as innovative and bold. Other aesthetic changes were incorporated as well: the handset was also upgraded, from the previously utilized “leaf” hands to faceted alpha hands, while the tachymeter scale was removed, giving an overall more stripped-down appearance.
• As the successor to the storied reference 5970, the 5270 was a truly ground-breaking new chapter in the brand’s storied line of perpetual calendar chronographs. Launched in 2011, it was Patek Philippe’s very first perpetual calendar chronograph with a fully in-house movement, the caliber 29-535.
• Since its launch in 2022, very few have graced the auction market. The present example is in pristine overall condition, and complete with all of its original accessories.
