Introduced to the market in 1953, the legendary Patek Philippe reference 2526 is the brand’s first automatic wristwatch powered by the celebrated caliber 12'''600 AT, which is considered as one of the finest self-timing movements ever made in the history of watchmaking.
The present example is from the second series, evidenced by the exquisite off-white enamel dial with laid indexes and period-correct smaller 6 o’clock index. It further boasts a well-proportioned yellow gold case that has acquired a beautiful layer of patina over time, a domed screw-down case back, and the iconic original forged “double P” crown.
The rarity of the present yellow gold example is elevated with the double signature on the dial retailed by the esteemed Venezuelan dealer Serpico y Laino. The present timepiece is graced with a “Serpico Y Laino” signature on the subsidiary dial and engraved with an extremely crisp S.& L. monogram to the caseback, alongside the G.B. engraving dated 31st October 1957.
Offered in excellent condition, and delivered with a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming its date of manufacture in 1956, this present specimen is a charming timepiece sure to delight the discerning collectors of vintage wristwatches.

Other famous models include perpetual calendars such as the ref. 1526, ref. 3448 and 3450, chronographs such as the reference 130, 530 and 1463, as well as reference 1436 and 1563 split seconds chronographs. Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
