Laurent Ferrier, a skilled watchmaker, dedicated nearly 37 years to product development at Patek Philippe before unveiling his first creation in 2010: the Galet Classique. This stainless steel Galet Traveller exemplifies the timeless elegance that Ferrier infuses into his creations. The large, easily readable midnight blue dial showcases a sectorial design with a clean center and generously sized minute division ring. The blue hue reflects light beautifully, appearing almost two-toned, resulting in a subtle yet stunning aesthetic. Additionally, this particular example features uniform gold specks that can be appreciated under magnification.
Thin white gold dagger-shaped indexes gracefully bridge the two sections of the dial, adding a touch of modernity to the overall design. The case is equally timeless, characterized by smooth lines and an onion crown that nods to the early history of portable watches.
The Galet Traveller is equipped with the upgraded LF230.02 double direct-impulse natural escapement—a mechanism originally devised by Breguet in the late 18th century, which very few watchmakers have successfully replicated. This innovative escapement employs two nickel phosphorous escape wheels and a silicon pallet-lever, ensuring optimal energy distribution and offering a power reserve of up to 72 hours. The present timepiece is in excellent condition and comes complete with its certificate and accessories.

Swiss | 2008Introducing its first watch to critical acclaim in 2010, Laurent Ferrier was founded by long-time Swiss watchmaker of the same name. Following a 37-year career at Patek Philippe, Ferrier founded the brand in 2008, creating timeless wristwatches inspired by the finest wrist and pocket watches from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Revered by collectors around the world for their genuine innovations and understated elegance, the brand specializes in exquisitely hand-finished movements featuring state-of-the-art watchmaking technology. Galet, or "pebble" in French, describes the signature feature of the brand's cases used across its collection — with soft curves, domed crystals and rounded edges reminding one of a smooth pebble.
Key models include the Galet Classic Tourbillon Double Spiral and the Galet Micro-Rotor, with stunning movement architectures designed after prestigious observatory chronometer movements of the twentieth century.
