- Kurono Tokyo was founded in 2016 by esteemed Japanese watchmaker Hajime Asaoka. Asaoka's focus on exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail is evident and the brand is known for offering exceptional value compared to Asaoka's eponymous high-end line.
- The Kurono Grand Akane '茜' is the brand's first artisan-level release, launched in November 2020. This timepiece features a truly unique urushi dial that showcases a stunning array of contrasting red hues.
