The scooped top surface of this bench is inviting and suits the form well. Grooves which cut across the surface allow water to drain away, whilst maintaining the shape and emphasising the ‘scoop’ as they turn up at the edges. Its mysterious character is intended to suggest something lef behind from long ago.
