Launched for the Reverso's 70th anniversary, the limited edition Septantième offers immense collectability with just 500 examples produced in platinum and pink gold. The Septantième made history as the first Reverso with an 8-day power reserve, 18K pink gold bridges and plates, plus a grand date - crystallizing its significance. It also boasts an elegant day & night indicator, adding to the overall art deco aesthetic of the dial.

The cal. 879 was designed exclusively for the Septantième, later evolving into an exceptional family of movements. For the pleasure of movement aficionados, the magnificent solid gold caliber is showcased on the reverse side of the dial.

The present Septantième commemorates the Reverso's anniversary in peerless fashion. Accompanied by its full set of accessories and offered in barely worn condition, it will hold immense appeal for collectors seeking the pinnacle of Reverso artistry.

Please note that the proceeds of the sale of the present watch will be given by the Consignor to various charities.

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Swiss | 1833
Not all companies in the watchmaking field have been able to stand the test of time quite like Jaeger LeCoultre, also known as the "watchmaker's watchmaker." Founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre and originally named LeCoutre, the firm provided watchmaking's top brands, such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet, the high-grade, unfinished mechanical movements with which they completed their watches.

In the early 1900s, Cartier's watch supplier Edmond Jaeger sought out LeCoultre's help in creating the world's thinnest watches. The collaboration resulted in the creation of Cartier's earliest Tank and Santos watches, all housed with LeCoultre movements. The duo decided to merge in 1937, and the firm officially became the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand by which collectors know and adore it today. Some of the firm's most significant and important timepieces include the Reverso, the Memovox, the Atmos clock and, among modern watches, their Master Complications.
