With a perpetual calendar complication and an alarm function, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grand Reveil is arguably one of the most well-valued luxury wristwatch with an in-house caliber in the market. With a prolonged history of manufacturing movements for other brands and themselves, Jaeger-LeCoultre stresses on their excellence in executing delightful and robust movements with a traditional approach to horology. With an inspiration tracing back to 1989 during the quartz crisis, the firm was in need to develop a timepiece that would bring traditional watchmaking back to life. The idea was to develop the infamous Memovox with an alarm function and combine that with a perpetual calendar. The result was the ref. 180.1/2/6.99 Grand Reveil.

The Master Grand Reveil was launched in 2005 and was only produced in precious metal. Carrying much of its same trait from its previous model, the reference was launched as a limited edition series with a total of 250 pieces produced. The present example is numbered 1 out of 250 pieces.
