In the late 1990s, IWC released a line of pilot’s wristwatches featuring a dual time complication and date. Eminently practical, the dial layout with a triangular marker at 12 o’clock is reminiscent of vintage pilot’s timepieces.
A platinum version was released in 500 examples, featuring a blue dial and strap which at the same time enhance the icy glare of the noble metal and also add a hint of playfulness to what is the most important watch among that line of pilots’ timepieces.
Offered in unpolished condition and complete of its original accessories, the present watch is number 131 of that restricted production.
