- The 1969 Deltaworks presented in 2022 was the Grönefeld’s first (and only) foray into sports watches. The name 1969 DeltaWorks refers to the year of birth of Bart, and a complex system built to protect the Zeeland region, comprising dams, dikes, locks, sluices and a storm surge barrier.
- The 44.5mm case is equipped with a screw down crown, is water resistant to 100m and features rubber clad titanium inserts in the same color as the strap.
- The inhouse caliber G-06 in the 1969 DeltaWorks, is everything one can expect from the Horological Brothers. The stainless steel bridges replicate bell gables, often seen on the rooftops of Dutch church buildings, referencing the homeland of the brothers.
- The openworked rotor features four stainless steel arms, presented in a double-spoke design. These arms are connected to an 18K gold mass adorned with a wave motif, these arms are meant to prevent the mass to touch the inside of the sapphire crystal or bridges in case of shocks.
- Adding to the watch’s collectability is that it is a prototype as engraved on the movement.
