- Founded in 1974 by A.H.C.I. member Christiaan van der Klaauw, the brand initially focused on astronomical clocks before expanding into watchmaking, becoming a leader in astronomical horology.
- The Ariadne represents classic astronomical watchmaking at its most expressive, paired with a distinctly sporty chronograph aesthetic. As the only chronograph within the Christiaan van der Klaauw collection, it stands apart with a full suite of complications including hours, minutes, seconds, a 30-minute counter, a 24-hour indication, and a complete calendar displaying day, date, and month, all arranged for immediate legibility. At 6 o’clock, the poetic moonphase display takes center stage.
