In 1921, Cartier launched the Grand Tank Cintrée with an aesthetically pleasing long, slender, and gracefully arching case that perfectly sits on the wrist. One of the most faithful releases, practically a one-to-one re-edition of the 1920s Tank Cintrée, the present 100th anniversary edition perfectly executed with all the right notes from its origin were produced in a limited edition of 150 pieces only in 2021. The new edition features a warm off-white grained dial evoking vintage charm with elongated Roman numerals, and a pair of blued Breguet-style hands. Furthermore, no “Swiss Made” designation found at 6 o’clock is a nice detail for connoisseurs. Powered by the ultra-thin JLC cal. 849 (Cartier cal. 9780 MC), it’s a nice nod to its history of joint ventures between Cartier and Edmond Jaeger for their early creations.
