Good To Know:

- Made for the 25th anniversary of The Hour Glass
- Numbered 8 of a limited edition of 25 pieces
- Grey hand guilloché dial and “B” seconds hand bespoke for the edition
- Special Arabic numerals
- Full set and complete with its accessories

This exceptional Breguet Classique Tourbillon was unveiled in 2004 to celebrate the Hour Glass Singapore 25th anniversary. This is not merely a commemorative piece—as stated by the retailer, it is the only tourbillon Breguet has ever produced with a striking dark grey dial at the time and with special Arabic numerals instead of classic Roman.

At its heart, the tourbillon cage captivates with an elegant cursive “B” in blued steel, serving as the seconds hand and adding a touch of poetic refinement. True to the anniversary spirit, only 25 pieces were ever crafted, an exquisitely restrained number that heightens its desirability. This particular example, numbered 8/25, stands as a particularly auspicious example.

Powering this masterpiece is an evolution of the legendary Lemania-based Calibre 558, refined under the visionary direction of Daniel Roth. The present 558.1 iteration delights with intricate floral engravings that adorn every visible surface of the movement.

Preserved in impeccable condition, this special timepiece arrives complete with its full set of original accessories, even the purchase invoice. A true collector’s grail—rare, historically significant, and radiating timeless Breguet elegance.

Breguet

Swiss | 1775

Established in 1775 by Abraham Louis Breguet, widely considered the greatest watchmaker of all time, the storied brand continues to thrive in the modern era, creating exceptional high-end watches as the Swatch Group's premier prestige brand. Some of the most important and lasting inventions in watchmaking are attributed to Abraham Louis Breguet, including the tourbillon, shock resistance and the use of hammers and gongs employed in nearly all minute repeating watches made since.

Eighteenth and nineteenth century Breguet pocketwatches are especially sought-after by collectors, and many of them were made for the elite of European society, including Napoléon and Marie Antoinette. Key wristwatches from the twentieth century include oversized dress watches, two-register chronographs, triple calendars and Type XX aviator's chronographs made for the French military and civilians.
