Ref. 5837

Horloger De La Marine

寶璣,「Horloger De La Marine」 型號5837, 精細,玫瑰金陀飛輪計時腕錶, 約2008年製。附原裝證書、錶盒、配件

Released in 2007, the Breguet Marine Tourbillon ref. 5837 was first launched in pink gold featuring a chronograph complication indicated via a stylish guilloche dial. Cased and decorated with the firm’s famous coin-edged caseband, the 42mm diameter case provides the wearer with luxurious heft. Powered by the firm’s cal. 554.3 manual movement, the intricacy of the mechanism is displayed proudly through its sapphire display caseback. Exuding a sporty appeal compared to the manufacturer’s traditional models, the combination of a rubber strap pairs wonderfully against its hefty pink gold case.

Offered in excellent overall condition and complete with its full set of accessories, the present example from circa 2008 is a perfect timepiece to sport on the weekend cruise around the bay.

Breguet

Swiss | 1775

Established in 1775 by Abraham Louis Breguet, widely considered the greatest watchmaker of all time, the storied brand continues to thrive in the modern era, creating exceptional high-end watches as the Swatch Group's premier prestige brand. Some of the most important and lasting inventions in watchmaking are attributed to Abraham Louis Breguet, including the tourbillon, shock resistance and the use of hammers and gongs employed in nearly all minute repeating watches made since.

Eighteenth and nineteenth century Breguet pocketwatches are especially sought-after by collectors, and many of them were made for the elite of European society, including Napoléon and Marie Antoinette. Key wristwatches from the twentieth century include oversized dress watches, two-register chronographs, triple calendars and Type XX aviator's chronographs made for the French military and civilians.
