-CODE standing for Challenge, Own, Dare, and Evolve was introduced by Audemars Piguet in 2019 as their Code 11.59 collection bringing an innovative, new generation of timepieces to watchmaking. Distinctly different from the iconic Royal Oak, the Code 11.59 was the brand’s first new design in decades with the ‘11.59’ symbolizing a nod to the beginning of a new day.
-Elegant yet sporty, the arched profile from the double-curved crystal streamlines the new case architecture. The arched profile plays with depth, perspective and light for a unique optical experience. While its internal surface is shaped like a dome, it is vertically curved from 6 to 12 o’clock.
-Powered by the in-house caliber 4401, a column-wheel activated vertical clutch flyback chronograph that provides 72 hours of power reserve, it exudes a sporty elegance on the wrist. Consigned by the original owner, it is preserved in virtually unworn condition complete with all its original accessories.
Audemars Piguet
Swiss | 1881A specialist in the manufacture of complications since it was established in 1881, Audemars Piguet never ceases to impress with a rich history of creating bold, even audacious, timepieces underpinned by traditional watchmaking at its finest. This Le Brassus-based Swiss manufacturer is one of only two major manufacturers still owned by the founding family. Since its earliest days, AP is considered a leader in the field of minute repeaters and grande complication pocket and wristwatches. The brand is devoted to preserving the history of watchmaking in the Vallée de Joux, showcased at their superb museum in Le Brassus.
Today, the brand is best known for its Royal Oak models, a revolutionary luxury sports watch launched in 1972. Other key models include early minute repeating wristwatches, vintage chronograph wristwatches, such as the oversized reference 5020, perpetual calendar watches and the Royal Oak Offshore, first introduced in 1993.
