The Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance is a groundbreaking timepiece introduced in 2016 after three years of in-house development. It features a patented dual regulator system, where two balance wheels oscillate in sync via a clutch spring, enhancing precision, stability, and shock resistance. Unlike other resonance watches, Armin Strom’s system is visually engaging and technically superior, confirmed by the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM) as a true mechanical resonance.
Crafted in polished stainless steel, symbolizing the element “Water” in Armin Strom’s elemental material philosophy, the 43.4mm case features a polished bezel, satin-brushed casebands, and a screw-in crown. The openworked guilloché dial, dominated by the resonance mechanism, offers a mesmerizing display of twin balance wheels rotating in opposite directions. A pusher at 2 o’clock resets the twin small seconds and synchronizes the balance wheels, allowing the wearer to witness the resonance phenomenon in action.
The guilloché dial, crafted under Kari Voutilainen’s supervision, is available in a variety of colours, such as blue, black, anthracite, red, or bi-colour, and patterns such as sunray, concentric waves, or barleycorn. The present example, offered in excellent overall condition along with its full set of accessories, stands out with a blue sunray guilloché dial, which highlights the skeletonised movement and resonance mechanism.
