Since its introduction in 1994, the A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 has garnered immense popularity among collectors around the world, thanks to its distinctive asymmetric dial design that embodies the perfect proportions and architecture of the golden ratio. The quick-set oversized date is not only a signature of Lange innovation, but also incredibly practical in real life.

The present version features the classic, original 38.5mm case loved by Lange 1 collectors. It combines rarity, aesthetics, and traditional German watchmaking in a single timepiece. Released in 1997, the Lange 1 ref. 101.031, with leather straps, was created to combine a rose gold case and a dark, onyx-like black dial. Soon after the release, A. Lange & Söhne Lange followed up with this integrated bracelet version, the 151.031, with a full 18K gold bracelet. In partnership with the prestigious jewellery house Wellendorff, the bracelet gives the Lange 1 a whole new appearance, and in exceeding rarity.

Complete with its original guarantee, this timepiece presents a remarkable opportunity to own a substantial Lange 1 that is both exclusive and highly sought after – an enticing acquisition for discerning collectors.

A. Lange & Söhne

German | 1845
Originally founded in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte, Dresden, Germany, the firm established an entire watchmaking culture and industry in Glashütte. The brand quickly became Germany's finest watchmaker, first creating dependable, easy-to-repair watches before going on to produce some of the world's finest complicated pocket watches, including Grande Sonnerie watches, tourbillon watches and Grande Complications.
On the final day of World War II, their factories were destroyed by Russian bombers, and in 1948 the brand was confiscated by the Soviet Union. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, Ferdinand's great grandson Walter Lange re-established the brand with the objective to once again produce top-quality luxury watches. Now part of the Richemont Group, its original vintage and modern creations are highly coveted by collectors. Key models from the modern era include the Lange 1, Pour Le Mérite Tourbillon and the Zeitwerk.
