The carved amethyst box of cylindrical form, the gold mounts with undulating chased decoration, the hinged cover applied with a flowering branch set with rose-cut diamonds, cabochon garnet, foiled step-cut emerald and circular-cut green and red gemstones, measuring approximately 38 x 48 mm.
