A gold box of slightly oval form with four contours, the hinged lid decorated with a crown and monogram of King Ludwig I of Bavaria (1830–1848) in royal blue enamel, decorated with floral, foliate and scrolling motifs on a background of texturized gold, to a similarly engraved base, measuring approximately 103 x 72 x 35mm, signed Carl Martin Weishaupt & Sons, numbered, partial crest and gold mark.
