Released in 2006, the Patek Philippe World Time ref. 5130 replaced its former ref. 5110 with a few subtle updates. Regarded by many collectors as one of the most adored and practical timepieces, the Patek Philippe world time was launched in various metals including, yellow gold, white gold, pink gold and platinum.
While most of its aesthetics remain similar as its former model, the new ref. 5130 featured a larger 39.5mm diameter case compared to 37mm for its previous model to cater towards the contemporary demand for larger wristwatches. Furthermore, the main dial featuring an elegant guilloché dial is of a different pattern compared to its former engine turned finish witnessed on the ref. 5110. Set with its iconic ring-shaped hour hand, the feature pays its tribute to the historically important Patek Philippe World Time timepieces from the 1930s, such as the ref. 605 HU. The reference was discontinued in 2016 making way for the new ref. 5230.
The present example Patek Philippe ref. 5130 in white gold is offered in excellent overall condition with very minimal signs of wear. Complete with its full set of accessories, the present discontinued reference is a fantastic example for collectors to acquire if they have missed out before.
