百達翡麗為慶祝成立150周年，推出一系列特殊的紀念錶款，其中許多款式皆為製錶歷史上的里程碑之作，包括本枚型號3974搭載當時全新研發的自動機芯27RQ的三問萬年曆腕錶。
型號3974於1989年面世，十餘年的生產期 間，各種材質合計發行僅約120枚，推測玫瑰金版本約發行20枚，產量十分稀少。根據公開資料顯示，連本件拍品，玫瑰金版本只有5枚曾經現身於公開市場，極為難得罕有。
本次呈獻的玫瑰金版本，錶殼上具有的「JHP」印記—出自當代傳奇大師Jean-Pierre Hagmann之手，過往的百達翡麗製錶歷史上，從未在時計錶耳刻上錶匠名字縮寫，因此這一印記的意義舉足輕重。不僅證明錶殼的質量卓越，自成一線品牌，更代表錶匠Hagmann本人親自製作把關製成，彌足珍貴。
本拍件盒證配件齊全，備當代師匠Jean-Pierre Hagman精心打造的錶殼，錶耳上的四個印記深刻清晰，腕錶品相十分優良，相隔13年再次現身拍賣市場，為心儀錶迷提供一個珍罕的收藏佳機。
