Brian Woo, aka Dr. Woo, is one of the most sought after tattoo artists in the world and in 2017 he collaborated with Converse. Inspired by Howitt’s famous poem, Dr. Woo combined his fine-lined graphics with delicate embroidery to embellish the sneakers but he was not interested in having these details kept pristine. Instead, he felt that the real story for each sneaker would only be revealed through wear as the way that the graphics would eventually rub off and the embroidery come undone would be unique to each wearer.
