- A landmark in independent watchmaking, the Daniel Roth Perpetual Calendar 2117 was born from the collaboration between Daniel Roth and Philippe Dufour, two of the era’s most respected horological talents.

- Developed in the early 1990s, the project aimed to create the first truly instantaneous perpetual calendar wristwatch, with all calendar indications changing simultaneously at midnight.

- After overcoming technical challenges, including the energy demands of heavy display discs, the final version replaced them with hands and achieved the original vision around 1993–1994.

- This possibly unique pink gold example features a striking black dial with gilt accents and appears to be a commission, distinguished by its unnumbered case, absent branding, and custom engraved openwork rotor.
