One of the great iconoclasts in modern watchmaking and known for their exceptional technical innovation, Richard Mille have pushed every other major brand to up their game in terms of material science and chronometric solutions. It may seem surprising then that it was only in 2012 that they launched their first totally in-house calibre, the CRMA2, proudly presented in the impressive RM037. Protected by a solid 18ct white gold case, the CRMA2 calibre features the signature function select button for the crown, boasts a 50-hour power reserve and a large date at 12. The dial sports a flash of red jasper in the centre, enveloped in a pavé set diamond ring to soften the technical open-work behind it. Model: "Zenith" Daytona
Terms the London team have debated using to describe this watch include “Time Capsule”, “Preservation Class” and “Museum Grade”. But the watch is best summed up by the fact that our photographer refused to shoot a wrist shot to “keep it as new as possible”. The original hologram is still perfectly aligned, the Rolex cloth around the watch shows one clear circle where it has remained pressed into one position of the sapphire glass for 24 years (until we took it out for inspection) and even the papers felt like we were the first to open them since January of the new millennium. ‘Crisp’, ‘sharp’ and ‘new’ are all words that fall short in front of this incredibly preserved 16520 Zenith Daytona. Full set, matchless condition and impossible to replace. We decided to call this watch “the find me another”.

Greubel Forsey
Model: Balancier Convexe S2
From their very first watch, Greubel Forsey established themselves as dedicated to two key principles: horological invention, and unparalleled finishing. More recently, they have focussed keenly on comfort and ergonomics as well, with the current ‘Convexe’ cases wearing much more effortlessly than the masterpiece creations of their early years. This lightweight S2 is crafted in robust titanium, curves perfectly over the wrist, and although measuring a respectable 46.5mm, is designed without lugs to ensure it wears like a watch much smaller than the dimensions would suggest. Delving into the movement is a lesson in haute horology, perfect expanses of black polishing, bevelled screw slots, sharp internal angles and gorgeous hand grained plates are found at every turn. Magically the inclined balance appears to have no connection to the barrel or hands, a wheel train appears out of nowhere to slope up and away from the dial surface and drive the geometrically perfect curved hands. Only 66 of these absolute wonders have been made in this configuration and we are proud to present this example with its original box, warranty, loupe and additional rubber strap.

Model: Limited Edition "Restivo" Perpetual Calendar Chronograph
In the early 2000s, Audemars Piguet's seemingly small update to the Royal Oak Offshore unexpectedly created the hottest watch of the decade. Sporting rugged, rubber-wrapped bezels, these models became known as the 'Rubber Clads.' The most sought-after variant was the rose gold version, which for nearly ten years, sold out almost immediately after arriving in retailers' windows. Few collectors are aware that AP quietly launched a run of only 25 Grand Complication Rose Rubber Clads with the unique reference 26262OK, for their Sicilian partner, Restivo. With the sleek good looks of the classic model, this ultra-exclusive run boasted a Perpetual Calendar and Moonphase, in addition to the chronograph synonymous with the Offshore family. The deep grey dial with rose gold highlights (most noticeable on the moonphase) is simply breathtaking. Rare as hens' teeth, this is one for the true AP cognoscenti. Found in superb condition, showing few signs of wear, the case has started to oxidise beautifully, and comes complete with the original AP winding box, warranty book, instructions and stylus.

With the same physical presence as the earliest 6239 models that established the Daytona DNA, the ref 6262 and 6264 introduced the upgraded, 727 calibre chronograph movement that would power the family right through the 70's and up to the end 1980's when the automatic 1652X series was launched. The Zenith Daytona was transformational to the watch industry. To a fan fare grand debut in 2018 at Baselworld, Patek Philippe unveiled the firm's first Grand complication Nautilus, reference 5740/1G-001. Despite its sporty credentials, the 5740 is still amongst the thinnest perpetual calendars produced by the manufacture and this time classic Genta aesthetic is crafted in 18ct white gold. Fitted with the self-winding caliber 240 Q, which is visible through the sapphire case back, one can view the recessed 22k gold micro-rotor engraved with the firm's Calatrava cross emblem and a Côtes de Genève finish to the movement. Fully blacked out in Bamford's rugged MGTC coating, this is the stealthy cousin of the super rare and highly elusive Mickey Mouse Milgauss. Known for many years as the finest customisation team in their field, Bamford Watch Department’s work has always been widely sought after and their expertise applied to a number of 'secret' projects. One such project was from none other than Mickey Mouse’s home: Disney. A sketch of the world’s most famous Mouse, sporting his iconic gloves, indicates the time, set against a 3D dial repeating his famous silhouette. What is intriguing is that every external reference to Rolex is removed, including the Coronets on the crown and clasp. Why the Disney team would insist on erasing any sign of 'The Crown' (whilst also demanding a Rolex watch as its canvas) we will likely never truly know, but can happily guess. The project never fully came to fruition, so this example in its cool grey MGTC stands as a powerful 'what might have been'. Presented with its special presentation box that lights up with the famous 'ears' motif when pressed, this is one of the coolest 'for your eyes only' projects we've handled.

Model: Nautilus
Patek Philippe introduced reference 3712/1A in 2005, and it remained in production for approximately one year, although some estimate as few as eight months, before being succeeded by the ref. 5712 in 2006. The model was at the time of its launch the first truly complicated Nautilus - the date and moonphases being notable upgrades from the power reserve complication of the earlier ref. 3710. Unlike the 5712, the present reference has a slightly smaller case measuring 42 mm in diameter, being constructed using only two pieces compared to the more rounded, three piece, 42.5mm case of its counterpart. In addition, the dial of the reference 3712 features wider grooves, or channels, and different hour markers than its successor. The most apparent difference is however that the date ring is smaller in reference 3712, allowing for the presence of a tiny 7 o’clock marker, absent in ref. 5712. The present example, is further enhanced by its "4 dot" power reserve configuration marking it out as later in production and, if possible for a reference of such small production, even rarer than the earlier versions. The present watch comes ccompanied by International Guarantee, presentation and outer box and leather folio.

In 2021, Cartier hit the rewind button back to the '80s with the release of the new colourful Tank Must watches. Unlike the vermeil versions, these watches are cased entirely in stainless steel – though they still house a quartz-powered movement.Sporting a similar minimalist styling – in fact, it's more minimal than ever. Gone is the double C icon, and the "must de" script. Now refined for a new generation, only the Cartier logo, and an hour and minute hand with a discreet Swiss Made writing down at the bottom remain. Hublot was appointed the "Official Watchmaker" by the Formula 1TM umbrella organisation in March 2010. This latest model Lange 1 Timezone in 18ct rose gold has come to us in 'as new' condition and with the original Lange box, warranty certiificate and booklets. The new 136.032 hosts a number of clever little upgrades over the previous model, but easily the most interesting is the colour change window hidden in the city indicator window that tells you if the correspoding city observes DST or not, red for yes, white for no! The classic Lange 1 layout is easily recognised, but the day/night indicators for both home and 2nd timzones are now neatly nested within the appropriate dial, the pusher at 10 is for the signature large date whilst the extra pusher is for the 2nd time zone/city. Under Patek international service warranty to 2025, this now discontinued Aquanaut travel time is in superb condition. Similar to the evolution of other Patek Philippe collections, the Aquanaut reference 5164A Travel Time was released in 2011 as the first complicated Aquanaut. Featuring a practical dual time function indicated by an additional white skeleton hand, the dial also depicts both home and local day and night indication through two small apertures. The pushers at 9 allow for easy adjustment to the local time both forwards and backwards in one hour jumps. Retaining its iconic case design with a modern 41.5mm diameter, the comfort is further enhanced by its rubber strap. In 2011, Journe released his Octa Sport line made in ultra-light aluminium, which was inspired by an important collector of the brand - a sportsman who sought a timepiece he could wear while competing in a marathon or triathlon. Some 7 years later the line was revamped and featured a 44mm Titanium case and bracelet weighing an impressive 75 grams and was powered by the new in house calibre 1300.3 which boasted a six day power reserve. Once praised as the finest serially produced watch in the world, the original Datograph set a new standard for chronograph production that many would argue has still not been surpassed some 20+ years later. Unsealed by Phillips for photography, this 5070R had remained double sealed from Geneva for 15 years. Standing testament to this preservation is the oxidisation on the distinctive stepped bezel of the 42mm Rose Gold case. Rarely found in such perfect condition, it remains a seldom found example of a much admired reference with its Lemania based chronograph movement. The Octa Automatique Lune was another GPHG victory for Journe when it was first launched and with its famous 5 day power reserve, off centre displays and comfortable 40mm case, has cemented itself as a favourite in the F.P. In 2004, A. Lange & Söhne introduced the Double Split. Marking an important moment for the history of horology, the A. Lange & Söhne Double Split is the first wristwatch in the world to feature a flyback chronograph with double rattrapante mechanism. Housed in the large 43mm diameter case lies the metropolis of the in-house caliber. L001.1. At immediate glance, the uninitiated would think that the Double Split is an oversized variant of the Datograph due to its similar case design and dial layout. However, the Double Split exceeds all expectations. Fitted with a split seconds hand, the chronograph is able to perform lap time measurements and time comparisons. With a movement comprised of 465 individual components, the Double Split is one of the most complicated movements ever crafted. When Journe developed the Octa line, it was always designed to house and power a host of complications and the line saw chronographs, perpetual calendars and moonphases added but it took 10 years before the appearance of a second time-zone in the form of the Octa UTC. Universal Time Coordinated, is the international reference time (rather than the English Language favoured GMT) and here the second time-zone is displayed cleverly nested within the main sub-dial with a gold hand and matching 24 hour time scale. A clever time zone map at 8 o'clock tracks the location of your reference time as you travel whilst the signature large date and 120 hour power reserve maintain absolute practicality. Launched in 2017, the 116695SATS Yachtmaster was unlike anything Rolex had every produced before. Its candy-coloured gem set bezel immediately earned it the sweetest of nicknames, and complemented the 18ct Everose gold case beautifully. Set with 38 coloured sapphires and a single large diamond at 12, and available in both plain and pavé versions, it was this premium execution with the full diamond dial that really set the world alight and set the stage for the re-introduction of the Rainbow Daytona a year later. Model: Calatrava, “Lighthouses of France"
One of two watches from the famed “Lighthouses of France” series to be ever publicly offered, this limited reference 5089G-121 is titled "Phare de la Vieille" and shows the iconic Breton Lighthouse ravaged by a raging storm. The dial in Grand Feu Cloisonné enamel requires between 42-44cm of gold wire measuring 0.05x 0.40 mm in cross section, together with opaque, semi-opaque, translucent and opalescent enamels in up to 32 colours. This particular reference goes beyond the others in series by also comprising embedded silver leaf to illuminate this breath taking scene. If ever a reference encapsulates the brilliance and artisan approach of Patek Philippe, it must surely be this. The white gold case, with sapphire case back protected by a hinged cover affords a personal view on request of the calibre 240 ultra slim movement. Consigned from the original owner in superb condition, the watch is accompanied by a full suite of accessories including International Limited Edition Certificate and box.

Model: Unique "Ovitz" Perpetual Calendar
Savvy collectors will immediately spot that when Patek combine a Grand Complication with luminous hands and markers, it is almost always the result of a very special request. The MSO motif at 6 o'clock on the dial is the confirmation, a Piece Unique made for the one time head of Disney and Patek super collector, Michael Ovitz. By 2014, the 3940 had been out of production for close to 10 years, but was revived here in a one-off execution that combines a chocolate brown soleil dial with Breguet numerals, luminous hands and markers. Complete with its original certificate confirming the dial and date Mr Ovitz took delivery.

One of the final Patek 5070 models ever made, this platinum model from early 2010 has landed with us in superb condition and complete with its Patek box and original certificate. Famous for being the last of the 'Lemania era' Pateks, the platinum versions outrageously sized case was matched with and silky blue soleil dial, a perfect swansong for the model, and ultimately to the transitional, 'neo-vintage' days of Patek. The 42mm case has sharp, vintage inspired steps, a discreet diamond set in the case for 'those that know' and is slim enough to wear, surprisingly, more like a 40mm on the wrist. Model: Chronomètre à Resonance
Designed as a celebration of 10 iconic years of the Chronomètre à Resonance, the F.P. Journe ref. RT, amusingly dubbed “Parking Meter”, is both a commemoration and a reinvention of one of the brand’s most iconic timepieces. With a dial layout that allows the user to track multiple time zones, the RT features both the traditional time display, as well as a 24-hour disc alongside it, elucidating the “Parking Meter” moniker. Having been awarded the Best Complication Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horologerie in 2010 is perhaps the greatest testament to the significance of the innovation and craftsmanship of the RT. Featuring a dual-balance system, the Journe “Parking Meter” is not only an engineering masterpiece, but also of striking beauty. The 18ct rose gold case is contrasted superbly with the silver dials for the hours and minutes, whilst the striking red on the minute dial brightens the watch. Model: "Pre-Souscription" Resonance
From the early days of F.P. Journe's production, this Resonance truly embodies the pioneering handmade works from the atelier and is the only one known in this configuration. Differing from the widely believed 'souscription' models as the first pieces, the 2000-delivered cases showcase distinct shallow engraving on the backs. This aligns with the 1st gen 'T' models' method, preceding the deeper finish on Resonance numbers 1-20 and subsequent production watches. We now know production began at least 40 watches prior, with cases for numbers 021-03X ordered in 1999, followed by 03X-06X still with early shallow engraving in 2000. The souscription series (001-020) were the first to boast deep engraving in 2000. Despite non-sequential completion dates, this production quirk adds an intriguing element. This example features a rich rose gold case, a warm, frosted, white gold dial, and the high shine and silvery subdials that are the signature of the earliest production. With only one Pre-Souscription Resonance known in rose gold, this is a rare beast indeed.
