The actual wrapping of the Whitney Museum of American Art was suggested for the museum's Sculpture Biennial in 1968, but there was little enthusiasm for it and the project was never realized.  This print comes from a portfolio of five images, all not realized projects: two for the Museum of Modern Art and two for the Allied Chemical Tower at 1 Times Square.
