Aurelio Martinez Flores is one of the most prolific and successful architects of his generation, on par with Oscar Niemeyer and Luis Barragan.  Born in Puebla, Mexico, Flores began his career in furniture design at Knoll, where he collaborated with Eero Saarinen, Marcel Breuer and Mies van der Rohe.  Flores arrived in Brasilia in 1960 and opened his first office in São Paulo ten years later.  He has been honored by São Paulo’s International Biennial of Architecture on multiple occasions.
