Burma, undoubtedly, is a prolific source for gem spinel. Other than the Mogok area, there is an upper state in the country, Nanyazeik, that also produce hot pink to red spinels which are called Namya spinels. Unlike the classic ‘royal’ red spinels, these Namya spinels glow with a hot, neon intensity that have never been seen. The red spinel, weighing over fifteen carats, is one of the exceptional specimens of Namya spinels. It shows an enchanting neon red colour, with no hint of extinction throughout the entire stone.
