Phillips X presents Different Throws of Dreams: Aboudia x Dubuffet, an exhibition exploring the work of these two great artists in dialogue with one another. Aboudia (b.1983) and Jean Dubuffet’s (1901-1985) pieces focus on portraying social environments through lived human experience. Both artists examine the recurring theme of movement in their works, depicting moments of chaos and calm through their use of found objects and unorthodox materials that are emblematic of the fast-paced and frenetic existence of life within evolving urban landscapes and the individuals who inhabit them.
