  • Catalogue Essay

The ‘Boa’ sofa, designed by the ground-breaking Brazilian design duo, the Campana brothers, is as much a statement piece as it is an inviting nest which encourages relaxation amongst its undulating and interwoven ‘pillows’. Four frameless and malleable tubular structures, each 30 metres long are filled with polyurethane and goose feathers and hand-covered in an alluring velvet. They have been expertly interlaced by four people over two full days in a true collaborative performance. Whether sat or lying down, this large sofa with its stunning presence undoubtedly has a person’s enjoyment and comfort at its heart.
