Lili Brick (1891-1978) was an enigmatic woman and an inspiration to the members of the Moscow avant-garde circle. She was a wife of Osip Brick, the editor of the leftist avant-garde magazine LEF and a muse for poet Vladimir Mayakovsky, who dedicated his poem Pro Eto to her. She was admired for her wit and beauty. She became a constant subject on Rodchenko’s photographs and photomontages.
