The Records

We’re fresh off the heels of double white-glove sales in London – that means 100% of lots sold across our two live sales. Not only that, but over half the works sold above their high estimates, a testament to the consistent global engagement throughout both days of bidding battles.

World auction records were set for David Hockney, Damien Hirst, and Pablo Picasso, along with strong participation from bidders covering a range of artists, highlighting the diversity of collectors' interests in modern, contemporary, and exceptionally curated editions.

A buzzing two days of sales brought bidders and collectors of all stripes to our London saleroom, with hundreds visiting Berkeley Square in just a single day. We look forward to keeping this momentum going with our live Editions & Works on Paper auction in New York on 7 February. Plus, with the ramp-up to a busy spring season at Phillips, now’s as good a time as ever to get acquainted with the world of Editions.
