Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo hosted a charity auction on Saturday, 6 September 2025, during the Geneva Watch Days exhibition, raising CHF 185,900 in support of Geneva’s watchmaking school, the oldest in Switzerland.
The sale featured 19 lots, each a unique object or experience that was donated by one of the brands participating in Geneva Watch Days, achieving an impressive total of CHF 185,900 under the hammer of Phillips auctioneer Marcello de Marco.
The top lot of the evening auction was a complete set of 35 Minimilian figurines donated by MB&F, which achieved CHF 80,000. The rest of the results are listed below. You can also revisit the catalogue here.
The Geneva Watchmaking School, or l’École d'Horlogerie de Genève, is one of the most important institutions dedicated to horological education in the world. Founded in 1824, the Geneva academy is the oldest watchmaking school in Switzerland, boasting an impressive list of graduates, including Christophe Claret, Roger Dubuis, Franck Muller, and Rexhep Rexhepi.
The complete sum of CHF 185,900 raised during the sale will go to the Pierre Amstutz Fund, a non-profit organization named after the former director of the Geneva School of Watchmaking. The fund provides scholarships for watchmaking and micromechanics apprentices who face financial hardship.
This was the third edition of the Geneva Watch Days × Phillips charity auction. Together, the three editions have raised CHF 403,900 to date, with 2025 marking the most successful year yet.
