JAVA ARCHITECT

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Architect and manager to design and develop Phillips’s next generation platform. Leveraging the expertise and learnings from our current team and platform, the architect will spearhead a greenfield buildout of new databases and microservices to power our object store, user management, ecommerce, search and live auctions. Duties and Responsibilities

• Build out java development workflow and production environments.

• Assist with the hiring and management of a new development team.

• Design and implement new databases and services powering Phillips.com, internal tools, and our live auction experience.

• Work with the existing team to integrate our new platform with the existing infrastructure.

Professional Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of java development in a microservice or SOA environment.

• Significant experience analyzing systems and rebuilding them with scaling and maintenance as primary concerns.

• Significant experience with Elastic Search/Solr/Lucene.

• Ecommerce experience a major plus.

• Managing a team of 10+ developers.

• Expertise in Java frameworks like Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).

• Experience in designing and developing robust and scalable RESTful APIs.

• Proficient in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and understanding of NoSQL databases.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience in deploying Java applications in cloud environments.

Education and Training

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.

Working Conditions

• Primarily remote, with the ability to work onsite at the 432 Park Ave location for meetings as needed.

• Evening and weekend work may be required subject to business need.

Additional Info

• The salary range for this role is $180,000-250,000
