Jean-Paul Engelen and Robert Manley, Worldwide Co-Heads of 20th Century & Contemporary Art, said, “After a record-breaking performance in our Day Sale yesterday, we were pleased with our strong results in the Evening Sale tonight. We established new auction records for Tomoo Gokita, Nicolas Party and Dana Schutz, and there was extraordinary bidding for works by KAWS, as THE WALK HOME sold for more than seven times its high estimate and UNTITLED (MBFU9) more than doubled its high estimate. In addition, we were honored to represent the work of Miles and Shirley Fiterman, an exceptional collection that we will continue to sell throughout the year. We look forward to our next series of auctions in Hong Kong later this month.”
