Kelly Troester and Cary Leibowitz, Deputy Chairmen and Co-Heads of Editions and Works on Paper, said, “Phillips’ June Editions auction in New York concludes another vibrant season for the Modern and Contemporary Prints & Multiples market. It has been wonderful to see such engaged participation across all of our sales, with bids coming from across the globe for works by both established blue chip and new-to-market artists alike. As we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the category in London this season, we saw tremendous enthusiasm for works that represented the very best of the field. We were pleased to have been able to present six auctions totaling almost $20 million setting over 200 new record prices since January, selling a combined 94% by lot and 96% by value. With the conclusion of such a strong spring season, we look forward to welcoming collectors back into our galleries both here in New York and in London for our fall season, starting with London’s David Hockney and various artist sale and New York’s Online various artist sales in September.”
