Sale on 12 May to be Led by a Magnificent 53.14-Carat Fancy Vivid Yellow Diamond Pendant, Exceptional Diamonds, Rare Coloured Gemstones, and Historic Jewels
Auction to Commemorate the Centenary of Art Deco with a Curated Selection of Pieces from Prestigious Private Collections
GENEVA – 2 APRIL 2025 – Phillips is delighted to unveil highlights of the Geneva Jewels Auction: IV, set to take place at Hotel President Wilson on 12 May 2025. Leading the sale is a 53.14-carat Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond and diamond pendant, alongside a pair of diamond earrings, weighing 10.92 and 10.58 carats, D Colour, Flawless. The auction will also feature an exceptional selection of coloured gemstones, alongside creations from renowned jewellery maisons such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Bulgari, Graff, and Buccellati as well as pieces of historical significance. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 1925 Paris Exposition des Arts Décoratifs, the sale will include a curated selection of Art Deco jewels, paying tribute to this timeless era of design. The highlights tour will travel to Hong Kong, New York, Singapore, and London before concluding in Geneva, where these pieces will be on view at Hotel President Wilson from 7 May until the auction on 12 May, coinciding with GemGenève.

Leading the auction is a 53.14-carat Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond and diamond pendant, a true masterpiece of exceptional colour and brilliance. Another highlight of the sale is a pair of diamond earrings, featuring D Colour, Flawless diamonds weighing 10.92 and 10.58 carats. Adding to the selection of top lots is a 1.85-carat Fancy Vivid Orangy Pink diamond ring.

Coloured Stones The auction will include a selection of coloured gemstones, led by a 7.10-carat Kashmir sapphire and diamond ring by Van Cleef & Arpels. Exceptional Burmese rubies take centre stage, including a 7.37-carat Bulgari ruby and diamond ring and a 10.59-carat Burmese ruby and diamond ring. Further highlights include a remarkable 122.77-carat unmounted Paraiba tourmaline from Mozambique, a Burmese ruby and diamond necklace, and two superb sapphires: a 13.24-carat Burmese sapphire and diamond ring by Graff and a 20.11-carat Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring.
Additional highlights include an iconic Bulgari ‘Serpenti’ wristwatch from the late 1950s, set with rubies, a light pink diamond, and diamonds—exhibited in Bulgari’s 75th-anniversary celebrations in Seoul and Milan in 2023.

Art Deco Pieces & Jewels of Exceptional Provenance In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 1925 Paris Exposition des Arts Décoratifs, Phillips is proud to present a curated selection of Art Deco jewels, showcasing the craftsmanship that defines this influential artistic era. Among the highlights is a Cartier brooch from circa 1910, crafted by the esteemed Atelier of Henri Picq, a celebrated workshop of the Art Deco era known for creating exquisite pieces for major jewellery houses and a striking 1920s crystal and diamond brooch by Janesich. Further pieces of exceptional provenance include a pair of diamond earrings designed by Chaumet in 1934 for a prominent French noble family. These exquisite earrings, which have remained within the same family collection for generations, were originally part of the corbeille de mariage (wedding basket) of a noble bride in 1934.
The sale also features a selection of historically significant jewels from the 1950s and 1960s, coming to auction this May from a private collection. Among these pieces is a decorative jewelled minaudière by Van Cleef & Arpels, alongside a ruby, emerald, and diamond pendant necklace.
